Tableting
Tableting is the compression of solids. This happens under pressure. Sometimes more than 20 or even 60 tons of pressure per cm2. Not every fabric can be compressed. Think of hard crystals, which will shatter under the influence of such forces. There is no uniform tableting technique. There are different types of machines: eccentric presses and rotary rollers. Each with their specific properties. The material to be compressed is of great importance. The chemical and physiological properties largely determine the ease of tableting. You can imagine that a coarse granulate is much easier to crush than, for example, sugar crystals. The final tablet must also dissolve quickly and usually clear in water. This is done by adding special ingredients.
The right composition
The secret of tableting is adding the right substances, which make it possible to compress, but also disintegrate in water when we make the solution. Also, the active substances often undergo extensive treatment, such as grinding, granulating, drying and the like. In addition, the composition in the tablet must be stable, while in many cases chemicals tend to react with each other. Cleaning and disinfection tablets contain a very high content of active substances. A tablet is therefore useful, but before it comes to a tablet, a lot of thinking and calculations will be done. Not to mention the principle of trial and error.
The ideal packaging
When a tablet is eventually produced, the next phase starts. The tablets are tested for stability in all kinds of different packaging and under various conditions. In general, the requirement is that a tablet remains stable for 3 years and does not lose efficacy. After testing, the final packaging is selected and production can begin. The choice of packaging materials, shapes and colors is diverse. From tablet jars to hygienic blister packs.

Shapes, sizes and composition
Our professional installations produce tablets from 5 mm to 70 mm. The shapes can vary from simple flat to concave or from round to, for example, a heart and can weigh from 1 to 60 grams.
